Test Principle
Firstly submerge the specimen in the water in the vacuum chamber, and then evacuate the vacuum chamber to form differential pressure between the inside and outside of specimen. The seal property can be obtained by observing the steady progression of bubbles from the specimen or observing how the specimen expands and restores to its original shape after vacuum release.

Precise Leak Detection for Flexible PackagingThe vacuum chamber offers a consistent and reliable bubble/visual leak detection method for Doypack pouches, sachets, and laminated films. With a transparent acrylic bowl, users can clearly observe any signs of leakage during the test process. The device's adjustable vacuum pressure and digital control interface provide flexibility to match various testing requirements, ensuring thorough quality checks for packaging integrity.
User-Friendly and Programmable OperationDesigned for ease of use, the tester features touch button controls and a digital pressure gauge, making setup and operation straightforward. With programmable vacuum holding times ranging from 0 to 999 seconds and both manual and automatic modes, users can customize tests for their specific products, ensuring accurate, repeatable results with minimal noise and effort.
FAQ's of Doypack pouches leak detection tester:
Q: How does the Doypack pouch leak detection tester identify leaks?
A: The tester uses an underwater vacuum method, where air is evacuated from the chamber, causing leaks in the pouch to release bubbles. Visual inspection through the transparent acrylic bowl lets users easily detect any leakage points.
Q: What types of packaging materials can be tested with this device?
A: This vacuum leak tester is suitable for Doypack pouches, plastic films, laminated pouches, and sachets up to 300 mm x 250 mm in size, making it ideal for various flexible packaging applications.
Q: When should I use this leak detector for quality control?
A: The tester should be used during routine quality control checks of packaging lines, before shipment, or when validating packaging integrity after design or material changes, ensuring compliance with ASTM D3078 and GB/T 15171 standards.
Q: Where is the optimal place to operate this tester?
A: It should be operated in an environment with a temperature between 10C and 40C, and humidity 85% RH (non-condensing). The tester is compact enough for use in laboratories or on production floors.
Q: What is the process for performing a leak detection test?
A: Simply place the filled pouch inside the vacuum chamber, close the lid with the sealing gasket, set the desired vacuum and holding time on the digital control, and start the test. Observe for bubbles indicating leaks, then release the vacuum and inspect results.
Q: How does this leak detector benefit manufacturers and exporters?
A: Using this leak detector enhances packaging quality, reduces product recalls, and ensures customer satisfaction by identifying weak seals or defects before distribution. It promotes consistent compliance with international packaging standards.
