Test Principle
The gas in the sample is pumped into the sensor through the vacuum pump, and the sensor outputs the real time current and voltage signals of O2 and CO2 (optional) concentration of the gas in the sample. The instrument calculates the content of O2 and CO2 (optional) in the gas by obtaining the current and voltage signal output by the sensor. After reaching the requirements for ending the tests, the tests stop, and the instrument records the concentration of O2 and CO2 (optional) in the gas tested in the sample.

Dual Sensor Technology for Reliable Ampoule TestingHarnessing both electrochemical and infrared channels, the Labthink Headspace Gas Analyzer delivers accurate detection of oxygen and carbon dioxide in the headspace of pharmaceutical ampoules. This robust sensor combination ensures precise results across a customizable measurement range, accommodating varying test requirements for different ampoule sizes and types.
User-Friendly Design and AutomationEngineered for streamlined operation, the analyzer offers a 7-inch full-color touch screen interface and PC software compatibility with Windows systems. The removable sample tray simplifies cleaning, while intuitive controls-via touchscreen or PC-reduce operator training needs. Fully automatic processes enhance laboratory workflow and consistency.
Comprehensive Data Management and ComplianceAll test data are logged and easily exported in CSV or Excel format via USB, supporting thorough documentation and analysis. The instrument stores up to 10,000 test records internally and meets international compliance standards, making it suitable for regulated pharmaceutical environments. Audible and visual alarms enhance quality control by notifying users of out-of-spec gas levels.
FAQ's of Accurate Ampoule Testing with Labthink Headspace Gas Analyzer:
Q: How does the Labthink Headspace Gas Analyzer ensure accurate testing of ampoules?
A: The analyzer employs dual channel sensing-electrochemical for oxygen and infrared for carbon dioxide-offering high resolution and accuracy (0.1% for O2, 0.05% for CO2). Automated calibration (user programmable) and compliance with USP, ASTM F2714, and ISO 720 standards maintain consistency in quantitative headspace analysis.
Q: What is the process for performing a gas measurement on an ampoule using this equipment?
A: Users place the ampoule (1-30 ml, customizable) on the removable tray, select the test mode (standard or fast), and initiate testing via the touch screen or PC software. The analyzer automatically samples headspace gas and reports O2/CO2 within 10 seconds, displaying results on the 7-inch color screen and logging them for export.
Q: When should the device be calibrated, and how is this managed?
A: The calibration interval is user programmable. The system provides timely reminders on the display, helping operators schedule recalibrations as required, which supports accuracy and compliance with pharmaceutical industry standards.
Q: Where can the Labthink Headspace Gas Analyzer be used for best results?
A: Optimal operation requires an indoor, dust-free, and vibration-free environment with temperatures between 15C to 35C and humidity between 20% to 70% RH (non-condensing). It is designed for bench mounting in laboratory settings, particularly for pharmaceutical packaging analysis.
Q: What are the benefits of the Labthink analyzer's data management features?
A: Test records-up to 10,000-are securely stored and can be exported as CSV or Excel files via USB. This facilitates audit readiness, traceability, compliance reporting, and quality assurance, minimizing manual documentation errors.
Q: How does the alarm system enhance usage safety and reliability?
A: The instrument includes both audible and visual alarms that promptly alert users to deviations from specified gas concentration levels. This real-time feedback helps prevent potential non-compliance and ensures timely intervention, safeguarding product quality.
Q: What is the advantage of dual control modes (touch screen and PC) for users?
A: Operators have the flexibility to control the device directly through the 7-inch color touch screen or via compatible PC software (Windows 7/8/10/11), enhancing accessibility, ease of navigation, and integration into varying laboratory workflows.
