Test Principle
Firstly submerge the specimen in the water in the vacuum chamber, and then evacuate the vacuum chamber to form differential pressure between the inside and outside of specimen. The seal property can be obtained by observing the steady progression of bubbles from the specimen or observing how the specimen expands and restores to its original shape after vacuum release.

FAQs of Leak Test Equipment Vacuum Leakage Tester:
Q: How does the Vacuum Leakage Tester detect package leaks?
A: The Vacuum Leakage Tester identifies leaks through visual inspection. When a specimen is placed in the transparent acrylic chamber and subjected to vacuum, bubbles form if there are leaks, making detection straightforward and highly reliable.
Q: What types of materials and package sizes can be tested?
A: This tester accommodates single specimens up to 200 mm x 150 mm, including packages and bottles made from plastic, glass, aluminum, or flexible packaging materials. The chamber capacity is approximately 5 liters, suitable for various product types.
Q: When should I calibrate the Vacuum Leakage Tester?
A: The equipment is supplied calibrated using traceable weights. Routine recalibration should be performed according to your quality management standards or after any maintenance to ensure accuracy within 1% FS.
Q: Where can this tester be used?
A: The Vacuum Leakage Tester is suitable for use in production lines, quality control centers, research laboratories, and packaging facilities across industries where packaging integrity is critical, such as food, pharmaceuticals, and consumer goods.
Q: What is the process for conducting a leak test?
A: Place the specimen inside the chamber, form a proper seal with the silicon rubber gasket, and initiate the test. The pump creates a vacuum up to -600 mmHg, and any leaks are detected visually as bubbles forming in the chamber, aided by the included accessories and clear digital display.
Q: Are there any benefits to using a microprocessor-based control system?
A: The microprocessor-based system offers enhanced control accuracy, faster response time (5 seconds), and repeatable results, making the testing efficient and eliminating the risk of human error.
