Precision Shrinkage Testing with Advanced Infrared HeatingExperience accurate and repeatable shrinkage measurement for films and fabrics using a controlled sample heating method. The infrared element ensures uniform temperature distribution, supporting a test range of 0% - 25% shrinkage with 0.2% accuracy. Specimens up to 1 mm thick are accommodated, making the system ideal for diverse laboratory applications in the textile and film industry.
User-Friendly Digital Controls and SafetyOperate with ease using a digital LCD controller for setup, calibration, and monitoring. Safety is prioritized via over-temperature protection and an emergency stop switch, ensuring risk-free use during testing cycles. The system supports both standard strip calibration and user calibration options.
Efficient Data Management and ComplianceBenefit from automatic data logging and flexible output options, including CSV exports and direct PC connectivity via RS232 or USB. The tester is RoHS and CE certified, meeting international lab standards for safe and reliable routine analysis.
FAQ's of Film and Fabric Shrink Testing Machines:
Q: How does the automated shrinkage tester measure film and fabric shrinkage?
A: The tester directly measures shrinkage by heating the sample with an infrared element under controlled humidity and temperature. Precision sensors track dimensional changes, displaying shrinkage results in real-time on the digital LCD.
Q: What types of samples can be tested, and what is the maximum specimen size?
A: The equipment is suitable for polymer films, textiles, and nonwoven fabrics with a maximum thickness of 1 mm. Each specimen can be up to 150 mm x 300 mm, and up to three specimens can be tested simultaneously.
Q: When should calibration be performed on the shrinkage tester?
A: Calibration should be conducted routinely before test cycles begin, especially when changing materials or after extended use. The system provides a dedicated calibration mode using standard test strips for reliable results.
Q: Where can the data from tests be accessed or exported?
A: Test data can be accessed directly via the digital display, exported as CSV files, or transferred directly to a PC through RS232 or USB interfaces for further analysis or record-keeping.
Q: What safety features does the machine provide during operation?
A: Key safety features include over-temperature protection to prevent overheating and an emergency stop switch that allows users to immediately halt the testing process if necessary.
Q: What is the testing process and how long does a typical cycle take?
A: A typical test involves inserting up to three specimens, setting the timer (1-999 seconds), and initiating the heating cycle. The digital controller manages speed (30 mm/min) and environmental parameters, with results delivered in less than 5 seconds after the cycle completes.
Q: What benefits does this shrinkage tester offer for laboratory analysis?
A: The tester ensures consistent, accurate measurements, simplifies complex data management with auto-logging, and saves time through programmable cycles and rapid response. Its compliance with RoHS and CE standards adds assurance for global laboratory use.
