FAQs of Drop Hammer Impact Test Apparatus for Plastic Films:

Q: How does the Drop Hammer Impact Test Apparatus operate during a test?

A: The apparatus is equipped with a hardened steel hammer and an electromagnetic manual release switch. The sample is clamped securely using the precision system, and the hammer is dropped from an adjustable height to impact the specimen. The force absorbed by the film is then measured instantly, either digitally or analog.

Q: What materials and sample sizes can be tested with this apparatus?

A: This equipment is specifically designed for testing plastic films. It accommodates specimens measuring 150 mm x 150 mm within a test width of 100 mm, meeting various industry standards for film impact resistance testing.

Q: When should calibration and maintenance be performed?

A: The apparatus comes factory-calibrated for optimal accuracy. Regular inspections, especially after extensive use, are recommended to verify calibration and check mechanical components, ensuring consistent performance and safety.

Q: Where can this impact test apparatus be installed?

A: With free-standing mounting and compact dimensions (approx. 350 x 320 x 900 mm), it is suitable for laboratory benches or quality control rooms. Its design allows installation in environments with a temperature range of 15-35C and humidity between 30-80%.

Q: What is the process for changing hammer weights or configuring the apparatus?

A: The set includes interchangeable hammers and an alignment fixture for easy setup. Select the required hammer based on your test specification, secure it onto the apparatus, and align your sample using the provided fixture before starting the test.

Q: How does the apparatus benefit laboratory testing?

A: It delivers accurate and reliable impact resistance results with high safety standards. Its semi-automatic, user-friendly interface, and adaptability for various film types streamline workflow, providing valuable data for quality assurance or research purposes.
