Test Principle
Firstly submerge the specimen in the water in the vacuum chamber, and then evacuate the vacuum chamber to form differential pressure between the inside and outside of specimen. The seal property can be obtained by observing the steady progression of bubbles from the specimen or observing how the specimen expands and restores to its original shape after vacuum release.

FAQ's of Plastic Bottle and Vacuum Packaging Leak Testing Machines:
Q: How does the leak testing machine detect leaks in plastic bottles or vacuum packaging?
A: The machine utilizes vacuum decay and optional water immersion testing methods. It creates a vacuum around the specimen and monitors pressure changes; any pressure drop indicates a leak. The system provides precise measurement with an accuracy of 0.5 kPa.
Q: What types of packaging and bottle sizes can be tested with this machine?
A: This equipment accommodates single specimens up to 400 mm x 400 mm, with a maximum test width of 400 mm and test stroke up to 200 mm. It is suitable for various plastic bottles and vacuum-sealed packages commonly used in industrial and laboratory environments.
Q: When is it appropriate to use vacuum decay versus water immersion testing?
A: Vacuum decay is the standard method and is ideal for most leak detection needs, providing non-destructive testing. Water immersion, available as an optional method, may be used when visual confirmation of bubbles is required, especially for more complex packaging shapes.
Q: Where can this leak testing machine be installed, and what are its power requirements?
A: The leak tester is designed for benchtop installation in industrial labs or manufacturing quality control areas. It operates on a 220V AC, 50Hz power supply, making it compatible with standard laboratory electrical setups.
Q: What is the process for testing a specimen using this equipment?
A: To test, place one bottle or package inside the chamber, set your test parameters on the digital touchscreen, and initiate the process. The machine analyzes pressure changes, displays real-time results, and can store up to 1000 test outcomes for later review.
Q: What are the benefits of using this leak testing machine in a quality assurance program?
A: Key advantages include high accuracy, rapid response (within 5 seconds), compliance with ISO 9001 and CE certifications, durable stainless steel/polycarbonate construction, and comprehensive safety features. Its data storage and easy operation support efficient quality monitoring and documentation.
Q: How does the machine enhance operator safety during testing?
A: Safety mechanisms such as the emergency stop switch, leakage detection alarm, and overpressure protection ensure safe operation. The device's low noise level (under 70 dB(A)) also supports a comfortable laboratory environment.
