Test Principle
The gas in the sample is pumped into the sensor through the vacuum pump, and the sensor outputs the real time current and voltage signals of O2 and CO2 (optional) concentration of the gas in the sample. The instrument calculates the content of O2 and CO2 (optional) in the gas by obtaining the current and voltage signal output by the sensor. After reaching the requirements for ending the tests, the tests stop, and the instrument records the concentration of O2 and CO2 (optional) in the gas tested in the sample.

FAQ's of Non-Destructive Assessment of Packaging Integrity using Headspace Gas Analysis:
Q: How does the analyzer perform non-destructive packaging integrity assessment using headspace gas analysis?
A: The analyzer extracts headspace gas from sealed packages via a needle or probe without piercing through the packaging, preserving sample integrity. Electrochemical and infrared sensors simultaneously measure target gases (O2, CO2, N2) or custom selections and evaluate leakages or gas exchange, providing rapid, reliable integrity screening.
Q: What types of packaging can be tested with this device, and what is the specimen capacity?
A: The device is suitable for pharmaceutical, food, beverage, and medical packages, accommodating specimen sizes up to 120 x 120 mm and a total capacity of 10 liters. Users can test between one and five specimens simultaneously, optimizing throughput for varying operational needs.
Q: When is calibration required, and how is it accomplished?
A: Automatic calibration is performed before testing using reference gases, ensuring the accuracy of each assessment. The system schedules calibration cycles and guides the user, eliminating manual intervention and maintaining compliance with ISO and ASTM standards.
Q: Where can data from the tests be stored and accessed?
A: All test results are securely stored in the analyzer's built-in memory, with a capacity for up to 1,000 records. Data can be managed via the multi-language touch panel or exported to external devices using USB and RS232 interfaces, with seamless printer output for hard copy documentation.
Q: What is the process for cleaning and maintaining the analyzer?
A: Routine cleaning and maintenance are simplified with tool-free module access, allowing operators to quickly clean components. The device can be used in environments free from vibration and direct sunlight, with servicing supported both on-site and remotely for minimal downtime.
Q: How does multi-level user security enhance usage and data protection?
A: Multi-level user access restricts unauthorized operation and ensures only qualified personnel can perform sensitive tasks like calibration, data export, or device configuration, safeguarding sensitive test records and maintaining a secure audit trail.
Q: What are the primary benefits of using this non-destructive packaging integrity analyzer?
A: Key benefits include rapid and non-invasive testing, high data accuracy (0.5%), customizable gas detection, compliance with international standards, easy operation, and robust documentation. The portable bench-top design, automatic calibration, and service support further ensure efficient and reliable packaging integrity assessment.
