Test Principle
Firstly submerge the specimen in the water in the vacuum chamber, and then evacuate the vacuum chamber to form differential pressure between the inside and outside of specimen. The seal property can be obtained by observing the steady progression of bubbles from the specimen or observing how the specimen expands and restores to its original shape after vacuum release.

FAQ's of Vacuum Leak Detector Leak Detection Instrument for Quality Manufacturing:
Q: How does the vacuum leak detector identify packaging leaks during quality control testing?
A: The instrument utilizes the vacuum decay/leak-down method, applying a vacuum to the test chamber and monitoring for any pressure increases that indicate a leak. Its capacitive pressure sensor ensures rapid and accurate detection within less than two seconds, supported by audible and visual alarms for user notification.
Q: What types of materials and sample sizes can this device test?
A: You can test specimens made from a variety of materials up to 300 x 400 mm in size, with the chamber constructed from high-strength acrylic or steel for compatibility with industrial packaging materials. The instrument accommodates customizable sample holders to suit different shapes and sizes.
Q: When should the built-in calibration feature be used?
A: Automatic calibration occurs each time the vacuum leak detector is powered on and before starting a new test cycle. This digital compensation guarantees the pressure sensor remains accurate, eliminating manual calibration and ensuring consistent results with every use.
Q: Where is the optimal placement for this leak detector in a manufacturing facility?
A: The bench-top mounting design allows for flexible placement on workstations within quality assurance laboratories or production lines, optimizing workflow for real-time leak monitoring and immediate packaging inspections.
Q: What is the process for performing a leak test with this instrument?
A: To conduct a test, place your specimen in the vacuum chamber, close the airtight silicone gasket, and select test parameters using the digital control interface. The device automatically evacuates air, monitors for pressure changes, and stores the result in memory for easy traceability.
Q: How does using this vacuum leak detector benefit manufacturers?
A: Manufacturers gain enhanced product quality assurance, regulatory compliance (ISO/ASTM), and improved workflow efficiency. The high test capacity (up to 200 tests/day), automatic alarms, real-time monitoring, and detailed data logging help minimize defective packaging and ensure reliable results.
Q: Can the device be used in environments with varying temperature or humidity?
A: Yes, the instrument operates reliably within temperatures from 10C to 40C and humidity levels up to 85% RH, ensuring consistent performance in standard industrial conditions.
