Test Principle
The gas inside the test package is brought to the gas sensor by the air pump. The instrument analyzes the volume of oxygen and carbon dioxide (optional) contained in the sample gas by calculating the electrical signals generated by the gas sensor. When the preset condition is met, the test is completed and the system records the oxygen and carbon dioxide (optional) concentration.

It operates efficiently at atmospheric pressure and can be used for various sealed containers in different environments, maintaining performance across humidity levels up to 80% RH and a temperature range of 15C to 35C.
FAQ's of C650M Headspace Gas Analyzer:
Q: How does the C650M Headspace Gas Analyzer operate for O2 and CO2 measurement?
A: The C650M employs electrochemical sensors for oxygen (O2) and non-dispersive infrared (NDIR) technology for carbon dioxide (CO2) detection. It extracts a minimum 2 ml gas sample from the headspace of sealed containers, analyzing O2 and CO2 concentrations accurately within seconds.
Q: What types and sizes of samples can be tested with the C650M analyzer?
A: This analyzer is designed for single-specimen testing of bottles, bags, or cans with a headspace volume ranging from 2 ml up to 1000 ml. It is suitable for use in industries like food, beverages, and pharmaceuticals where container sealing and MAP are crucial.
Q: When should calibration be performed and how is it done?
A: Calibration is recommended before regular usage or any critical testing cycle. The C650M offers both automatic and manual calibration modes, ensuring consistent measurement accuracy. Follow the on-screen instructions on the touch LCD panel for the calibration process.
Q: Where can the data from the C650M be stored or output?
A: The analyzer stores up to 1000 test sets internally. Data and results can be printed in real time using the built-in thermal printer, or exported via USB/RS232 interfaces for additional record-keeping or analysis.
Q: What benefits does the alarm system provide during operation?
A: The C650M features both optical and sound alarms that alert users to abnormal conditions or out-of-range gas concentrations, improving safety and ensuring prompt corrective action during the analysis process.
Q: How does the C650M contribute to quality assurance in packaging applications?
A: By delivering accurate, rapid measurement of O2 and CO2, the C650M helps verify the integrity of sealed packaging, supporting compliance with industry MAP standards and extending the shelf life and safety of packaged products.
