FAQ's of Testing Instrument for Chemical Heat Shrinkage Packaging:
Q: How does the Chemical Heat Shrinkage Tester operate?
A: This instrument utilizes uniform hot air circulation within its high-grade stainless steel chamber to heat test specimens. Operators can adjust temperature (room temperature to 200C), timer settings, test speed, and stroke to simulate real-world shrinkage conditions of packaging films.
Q: What packaging films and specimen sizes are compatible with the device?
A: The tester is suitable for PET and similar chemical packaging films, supporting standard specimen dimensions of 80 x 50 mm. Customizable specimen sizes accommodate various film types and testing requirements, with a test width up to 100 mm.
Q: When is calibration needed for the equipment?
A: Certified annual calibration is mandatory to maintain measurement accuracy and comply with industry standards. The instrument comes pre-calibrated, but users should schedule recalibration annually or as required by their quality management protocols.
Q: Where can this tester be installed and used?
A: As a bench-top, semi-automatic device, the tester is ideal for laboratories and industrial quality control environments. Its compact design (approx. 20 kg) ensures easy installation and relocation as needed.
Q: What is the process for conducting a shrinkage test using this instrument?
A: Prepare up to 3 specimens per cycle, set desired parameters (temperature, test speed, timer, etc.), and secure the samples in the aluminum alloy holder. Initiate the test via digital controls; results are automatically logged and can be output as digital or hardcopy reports.
Q: How does this tester benefit packaging film manufacturers or suppliers?
A: By providing accurate, rapid measurements of film shrinkage properties, this equipment enhances quality control efficiency. Its digital documentation and PC software integration support detailed analysis, helping manufacturers ensure product consistency and meet client or industry requirements.
Q: What are the safety features incorporated in the instrument?
A: The tester is equipped with overload and overheat protection, a safety cutoff, and operates with low ambient noise (< 60 dB), ensuring the safety of operators, samples, and laboratory environments during each testing cycle.
