Test Principle
Firstly submerge the specimen in the water in the vacuum chamber, and then evacuate the vacuum chamber to form differential pressure between the inside and outside of specimen. The seal property can be obtained by observing the steady progression of bubbles from the specimen or observing how the specimen expands and restores to its original shape after vacuum release.

Advanced Leak Detection for Flexible PouchesEngineered with a focus on accuracy and reliability, this tester incorporates a microprocessor-controlled digital system and a transparent vacuum chamber made from acrylic or polycarbonate. It supports both bubble emission and vacuum/pressure decay testing methods, delivering results with a high resolution of 0.01 bar. The device's design facilitates efficient and observable testing for food, pharmaceutical, agrochemical, and consumer goods packaging.
User-Friendly Operation and Safety FeaturesThe leak detection tester boasts a digital LCD display, touch panel or membrane keypad, and presettable leak test cycle time (10-99 seconds). Safety is assured through over-pressure and over-vacuum protections, with audible and visual alarms alerting users to leaks. Factory calibration and easy-access maintenance enable reliable operation and straightforward servicing.
Versatile Application and Comprehensive Data ManagementSupporting a wide variety of pouch sizes (from 50 mm x 50 mm to 300 mm x 400 mm) and materials, this tester is suitable for single or multiple specimens per cycle. With optional USB data logging, test results can be efficiently recorded and analyzed for quality management. Accessories such as a vacuum pump, connection tubes, and specimen support tray are included to ensure versatile test setup.
FAQ's of Flexible Pouches packaging leak detection tester:
Q: How does the leak detection tester identify leaks in flexible pouch packaging?
A: The tester detects leaks using either bubble emission or pressure/vacuum decay methods inside a transparent vacuum chamber. When compressed air or vacuum is applied, leaks are indicated by visible bubbles or a loss of vacuum/pressure, which is detected by the microprocessor system and signaled by audible and visual alarms.
Q: What types and sizes of pouches can be tested with this device?
A: It can test plastic, laminated film, and foil pouches within a size range of 50 mm x 50 mm up to 300 mm x 400 mm. The chamber can accommodate up to five pouches per cycle, and pedestal sizes are customizable based on specific pouch dimensions.
Q: When should I perform calibration, and is user calibration available?
A: The tester comes factory calibrated for immediate use. Users also have the option for in-field calibration, ensuring ongoing measurement accuracy after extended operation or whenever required by your quality assurance protocols.
Q: Where can this leak detection system be used effectively?
A: This leak detection tester is suitable for use in industries such as food processing, pharmaceuticals, agrochemicals, and consumer goods packaging, wherever flexible pouch integrity is critical to quality and safety.
Q: What is the testing process, and how long does each cycle take?
A: To begin, load up to five pouches onto the specimen support tray and set the test cycle (10-99 seconds). Start the process using the touch panel or membrane keypad. The tester automatically runs the programmed cycle, displaying results on the digital LCD, and alerts with alarms if leaks are detected. Each cycle typically completes within the preset timeframe.
Q: How is data from leak tests recorded and managed?
A: Test data can be logged via an optional USB output, allowing easy export for record-keeping or analysis. This facilitates review of past results for audits, quality control, or reporting.
Q: What are the maintenance and servicing requirements for this device?
A: Thanks to its easy-access design, the tester can be quickly cleaned and standard components serviced or replaced as needed. Regular checks for seals and connections help maintain precision performance, with straightforward maintenance ensuring minimal downtime.
