Test Principle
C130H is designed in accordance with differential pressure method. The pre-conditioned specimen is mounted in the gas diffusion cell as to form a sealed barrier between two chambers. The lower-pressure chamber is firstly evacuated, followed by the evacuation of the entire cell. A flow of gas is thereafter introduced into the evacuated higher-pressure chamber and a constant pressure difference is generated between the two chambers. The gas permeates through the specimen from higher pressure side into the lower pressure side. The gas permeability and other barrier properties of the specimen can be obtained by monitoring the pressure changes in the lower chamber.

FAQ's of Analyzing Instrument for Film Gas Permeability with Differential Pressure Method:
Q: How does the differential pressure method work in measuring film gas permeability?
A: The differential pressure method creates a pressure difference across the film specimen and measures the rate at which gas passes through. Changes in pressure on either side are monitored to calculate permeability, providing precise results for up to three different gases concurrently.
Q: What gases can this analyzer test for permeability and in which applications is it used?
A: This instrument is designed to evaluate the permeability of gases such as oxygen, nitrogen, and carbon dioxide, making it ideal for analyzing packaging films in food, pharmaceutical, and industrial applications where gas barrier properties are crucial.
Q: When should I use ambient pressure compensation during tests?
A: Ambient pressure compensation should be used when there are fluctuations in laboratory air pressure during testing. This feature ensures results remain accurate by automatically adjusting for changes in environmental pressure.
Q: Where can the analyzer be installed and what are its workspace requirements?
A: The device is intended for bench-top installation in laboratory or industrial environments with a stable power source-AC 220V, 50 Hz. It operates optimally within a temperature range of 10-35C and humidity not exceeding 85% RH, fitting comfortably with its compact 350 mm maximum machine height.
Q: What is the process for preparing and loading samples into the analyzer?
A: Samples up to 3 mm thick and 97 mm diameter (customizable) are placed and sealed with elastomer O-rings. Up to three specimens can be tested simultaneously. The system then automatically controls test parameters such as gas flow rate, temperature, and humidity for consistent, repeatable measurements.
Q: How is data recorded and exported from the instrument?
A: Data is captured digitally and stored in the instrument's memory, holding up to 1000 test results. Results can be exported via USB or RS232 interfaces for further analysis using the provided Windows-compatible software.
Q: What benefits does the alarm function provide during testing?
A: The alarm function promptly alerts users to any over-range readings or abnormal operational statuses, ensuring timely intervention, accurate data collection, and prolonged equipment reliability.
