Test Principle
The pre-conditioned specimen is placed on a flat test plane, the pressure foot which is paralleled to the test plane will drop down on the upper surface of the specimen with certain pressure applied on. The displacement sensor with the pressure foot will detect the space between the upper and lower surface of the specimen, which is the thickness of the specimen.

Its bench-top mounting type suits fixed installations, while portability supports flexible usage. Operating within a dry, dust-free area optimizes its performance and enhances equipment longevity.
FAQ's of Aluminum plastic composite panel thickness measurement instrument:
Q: How does the contact micrometer method measure panel thickness?
A: The instrument employs a contact micrometer principle, where it physically touches the specimen and determines thickness by gauging the distance between the measuring surfaces. This ensures highly accurate readings suitable for aluminum, plastic, and composite panels.
Q: What is the process for preparing samples before measurement?
A: No special sample preparation is required. Specimens, typically sized 100 mm x 100 mm, can be directly positioned within the instrument for thickness measurement, streamlining workflows in testing environments.
Q: When should the instrument be calibrated?
A: Calibration should be performed regularly using standard gauge blocks, especially before critical measurements or after prolonged use, to maintain precision and reliability in results.
Q: Where is the ideal location to operate this thickness measurement instrument?
A: The instrument delivers optimal performance in a dry, dust-free area. Such an environment reduces interference and maintains accuracy, making it well-suited for laboratories and factory quality assurance departments.
Q: What are the main benefits of using this device for panel thickness measurement?
A: Operators benefit from its high accuracy (0.01 mm), quick response time (2 seconds), and straightforward sample handling, all within a compact and portable design. It enables consistent and reliable thickness assessment for quality control.
Q: How is the measurement data displayed and transferred?
A: Measurement results are shown on an LCD digital display, and the RS232 interface enables efficient data transfer to external systems for analysis or records management.
