Test Principle
Firstly submerge the specimen in the water in the vacuum chamber, and then evacuate the vacuum chamber to form differential pressure between the inside and outside of specimen. The seal property can be obtained by observing the steady progression of bubbles from the specimen or observing how the specimen expands and restores to its original shape after vacuum release.

Advanced Dual Leak Detection MethodsUtilizing both bubble and vacuum techniques, this tester ensures comprehensive integrity checks for flexible and rigid medical packages. The transparent, reinforced acrylic chamber allows clear observation during the bubble test, while the integrated vacuum pump supports sensitive vacuum-based leak detection. The device is fully compliant with key international standards, including ASTM F2338, F1929, and ISO 11607.
High Accuracy and User-Friendly OperationEquipped with microprocessor control, digital LCD display, and factory calibration, this tester provides 1% full-scale accuracy and a high-resolution of 0.01 kPa. Test parameters such as speed and duration are easily adjustable, and the system stores up to 50 test results, making it efficient for regular quality control workflows.
Safety and Convenience FeaturesBuilt with overpressure automatic protection, emergency stop, and transportable design with handles, this device prioritizes user safety and ease of use. Manual sample loading, low operational noise (<60 dB), and a compact, bench-top format make it suitable for various laboratory and production environments.
FAQ's of Bubble method and Vacuum method Medical Packaging Leak Detection Tester:
Q: How does the Bubble Method and Vacuum Method tester operate for medical packaging leak detection?
A: The device operates by applying either the bubble method or vacuum method, depending on your requirements. You manually load the specimen into the transparent test chamber, set testing parameters like pressure and duration, and the integrated system detects leaks according to ASTM F2338, F1929, or ISO 11607 standards.
Q: What are the key benefits of using this tester for medical packaging integrity testing?
A: Benefits include high testing accuracy (1% of full scale), fast result response (2 seconds), dual-method compatibility, adjustable parameters, and compliance with major international standards. The built-in data storage for 50 results and safety features like overpressure protection enhance ease-of-use and reliability.
Q: When should I use the bubble method versus the vacuum method?
A: Use the bubble method for visual detection of large defects or ruptures, and choose the vacuum method when you require more sensitive, non-destructive detection of smaller leaks undetectable by the naked eye. Selection depends on package type, material, and specific testing needs.
Q: Where can this tester be used and under what environmental conditions?
A: This portable, bench-top device can be used in laboratory or production settings that provide a clean, dry, oil-free ambient air environment. Ideal conditions include ambient temperature between 10C and 35C and humidity levels of 20%-80% RH.
Q: What is the process for calibrating the leak detection tester?
A: The device arrives factory-calibrated for immediate use, but users can also perform their own calibrations as needed, allowing for ongoing accuracy. Calibration instructions are provided in the user manual for straightforward operation.
Q: How is data from test runs stored and retrieved?
A: The tester has a built-in memory capable of storing results from up to 50 test cycles. Data can be accessed directly via the digital LCD display or exported using the RS232 interface for further analysis and record-keeping.
Q: What types and sizes of specimens can the tester handle per cycle?
A: It supports testing 1 to 3 specimens per cycle, with individual specimen sizes up to 300 mm, making it suitable for a range of flexible and rigid medical and pharmaceutical packaging.
