Test Principle
Firstly submerge the specimen in the water in the vacuum chamber, and then evacuate the vacuum chamber to form differential pressure between the inside and outside of specimen. The seal property can be obtained by observing the steady progression of bubbles from the specimen or observing how the specimen expands and restores to its original shape after vacuum release.

Data can be printed, stored, or transferred via USB or RS232, accommodating different laboratory data management needs and ensuring seamless integration into quality control processes.
FAQ's of Seal Strength Tests and Testing Instrument for Ointment Tube Quality Control:
Q: How does the Seal Strength Testing Instrument measure the seal strength of ointment tubes?
A: The instrument utilizes either a pneumatic or vise clamping mechanism to securely hold the specimen. Measurements are conducted using peel and burst test methods, where force is gradually applied until the seal fails, with the result displayed digitally in units such as Newtons (N), gram-force (gf), or pound-force (lbf).
Q: What quality control standards does this instrument comply with?
A: This Seal Strength Tester is compliant with major global standards, including ASTM F88/F88M and ISO 11607-1, ensuring results meet widely-accepted quality benchmarks in the pharmaceutical and packaging industries.
Q: When is this instrument typically used in the quality control process?
A: The testing instrument is generally used during or after the production phase to verify that ointment tube seals and closures meet required strength criteria-helping prevent package failures, leakage, or contamination before products reach the marketplace.
Q: Where can this tester be installed and used effectively?
A: Designed as a tabletop, semi-automatic device, it is ideal for use in quality control laboratories within manufacturing, exporting, or supply chain facilities, particularly those focused on packaging integrity for medical and cosmetic products.
Q: What is the process of conducting a seal strength test with this machine?
A: Operators place up to five specimens in the clamping mechanism, set relevant test parameters using the digital touch panel, and initiate the test. The instrument then measures the required force for seal failure, records the peak values, and stores or outputs results for analysis.
Q: How does this instrument benefit quality control operations?
A: This instrument enhances testing consistency, reduces risk of operator error via automation and password protection, and supports data management through result storage and export features. Its robust construction and advanced safety mechanisms also contribute to laboratory safety and reliability.
