Test Principle
Firstly submerge the specimen in the water in the vacuum chamber, and then evacuate the vacuum chamber to form differential pressure between the inside and outside of specimen. The seal property can be obtained by observing the steady progression of bubbles from the specimen or observing how the specimen expands and restores to its original shape after vacuum release.

FAQ's of Key Packaging Performance Tests for Chocolate Packaging- Seal Strength:
Q: How does the Digital Seal Strength Tester ensure compatibility with different chocolate packaging seals?
A: The tester is designed to work with a range of sealing methods including heat, cold, ultrasonic, and induction seals, adapting to various flexible films, laminates, foil packs, and thermoformed packaging commonly used for chocolate products.
Q: What is the recommended process for performing seal strength tests on chocolate packaging?
A: Place up to 5 specimens, sized 150 mm x 30 mm each, into the machine's tool steel clamps. Set the desired test speed (10-500 mm/min) and initiate the test. The device automatically measures, records peak force, and stores data. Results can be analyzed and reported using the PC software.
Q: When should I calibrate the seal strength tester for optimal performance?
A: The device features an auto-calibration function, which should be used regularly before conducting tests to ensure accuracy. Always calibrate after moving or servicing the equipment and as part of routine quality protocols.
Q: Where can the tester be installed, and what are its site requirements?
A: It is a bench-top unit suited for quality control labs, R&D centers, or production environments. Ensure availability of AC 220V, 50/60 Hz power, stable room temperature (10C-35C), relative humidity between 40%-80%, and, for pneumatic models, a gas supply at 0.6 MPa through a 6 mm port.
Q: What are the primary benefits of using this tester for chocolate packaging?
A: It ensures your chocolate packaging meets global standards for seal integrity, improving product safety and shelf life. Automatic data storage, report generation, and safety features streamline quality control while minimizing operational errors.
Q: Can the instrument be tailored to different types of tests or packages?
A: Yes, test width (standard 30 mm) and speed are fully adjustable to accommodate various packaging formats and test protocols, supporting flexibility for different product requirements.
Q: How does the software support analysis and reporting after testing?
A: PC software connects via RS232 interface, enabling detailed analysis, peak force tracking, and automatic generation of customizable reports, facilitating compliance documentation and process optimization.
